LONDRES. Adele fue la protagonista absoluta de los premios Brit celebrados esta noche en Londres en los que se coronó como la reina de la música británica al ganar cuatro premios, entre ellos el más preciado, el de mejor álbum, por su trabajo 25.

 

La intérprete de temas como Someone Like You se llevó también a su casa el galardón a mejor solista femenina del Reino Unido, mejor canción por Hello y el premio que reconoce su éxito global.

 

De todas las categorías en las que estuvo nominada, la única que se le escapó fue la de mejor vídeo, que ganaron los jóvenes One Direction por Drag Me Down. Otros vencedores de la noche fueron Coldplay, que se alzó con el trofeo a mejor banda, y James Bay, quien recogió el Brit a mejor solista masculino.

 

La británica de 27 años se llevó el primer premio de la noche, mejor solista femenina, y tras recibirlo no le tembló la voz para mostrarle su apoyo a la intérprete Kesha y dedicarle la estatuilla.

 

La gala comenzó con una explosión de colores y fuego gracias a la banda Coldplay, que hizo que todo el público coreara Hymn For The Weekend mientras el O2 se inundaba de una lluvia de pétalos de flores.

 

Rihanna protagonizó uno de los momentos más comentados de la gala cuando, con melena corta, imagen urbana y pantalones con flecos, se puso en frente del rapero Drake para bailar a ritmo de “twerk” de su canción Work.

 

Arropado por una hoguera y acompañado a la guitarra por James Bay, Justin Bieber incendió de nuevo el escenario con sus éxitos Love Yourself y Sorry antes de ganar el Brit a mejor artista masculino internacional.

 

Los premios de la industria musical británica le rindieron homenaje al fallecido David Bowie con el galardón Brit Icon, que conmemora la aportación que hizo a la cultura mundial con su trabajo.
